What to prepare:
Roles for 7 young people
Mary Lennox: ten years old. Spoiled but grow into a caring, nurturing individual.
Colin Craven: boy soprano. ten years old. spoiled, tantrum-throwing, bed-ridden, but learns to grow.
Dickon: mid-to-late teens. Belting Tenor. Full-of-life, wise beyond his years.
Chorus of four children, who sing and are puppeteers.
Archibald Craven: Late 30-40's Baritone/Tenor. caught up in the sorrow of the death of his young wife in childbirth. Father to Colin
Dr. Neville Craven: mid 30's Baritone/Tenor. Younger brother to Archie, means well, but cannot forget that if Archie and Colin die, he inherits the extensive estate.
Ben Weatherstaff: 50-60's Baritone. Gardener, gruff, crusty, but caring. Yorkshire accent.
Martha: 20's Belting Alto. Sister to Dickon. Mary's chambermaid, not much education, but wise in the way of people.
Mrs. Medlock: 30's-50's, Housekeeper, feels much put upon.
Rehearsals begin Monday, September 27.
